Actress Vera Farmiga is one hell of a badass metalhead. You may be familiar with Farmiga’s work if you have seen Orphan, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, or any of the Conjuring movies. You may also be familiar with her because, earlier this year, she performed on stage with Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian – the two covering an Iron Maiden song. More recently, however, Vera took part in a performance where she covered another epic heavy metal song.

This time around, the actress covered the Black Sabbath song “War Pigs.” Via a video shared on her Instagram account, Farmiga uses the song as an opportunity to call out a certain political leader she is not a fan of. The actress is of Ukrainian descent, so prior to performing the song, she takes a moment to call out Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying, “Fucking War Pig, like Putin!”

You can check out the video that features actress Vera Farmiga performing Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” and calling out President Vladimir Putin below. On a slightly related note, we recently posted an AI-generated music video involving the Black Sabbath song. The video is full of psychedelic and political imagery; you can check it out for yourself by following the link below.

When it comes to other Black Sabbath-related stories, did you know that Ozzy Osbourne used to be intimidated by band guitarist Tony Iommi? Per a past interview, Osbourne speaks to how rocky he and Iommi’s relationship used to be.

Also, Ozzy recently talked about how he and Sharon hired armed guards after Sharon got called a “racist.” Per a past conversation, Osbourne shared that he is not too thrilled to be moving back to England. News of this move came about this past August, with Sharon Osbourne expressing that they both (her and Ozzy) don’t feel “safe” in America.
