Among the likes of GWAR, Spiritbox, Judas Priest, Pantera, and more, melodic death metal act In Flames is now releasing a graphic novel! Via a collaboration with the folks over at Z2 Comics, In Flames is releasing a new graphic novel titled In Flames: The Jester’s Curse.
Per the Z2 Comics website: “In Flames, the pioneers of Swedish melodic death metal, channel their storied catalog in a new graphic novel – In Flames: The Jester’s Curse. This dark fantasy opus follows the Jesterhead as he emerges from the Wasteland, where he finds himself trapped in Dead Eternity—a distorted reality where worlds collide and nightmares thrive. Limited editions are SIGNED by In Flames, featuring a Jesterhead action figure and a crystal-clear 7-inch ‘The Great Deceiver’ vinyl with etched B-Side. Vinyl is limited to 500 copies!”

Last month, In Flames announced that their brand new album, The Great Deceiver, will be coming out next year. Speaking to this album, band frontman Anders Fridén shared the following:
“Going into the Foregone sessions, we wanted to make a record that was heavily guitar-driven, and that had a strong foundation between the bass and drums. We still approached our songwriting the same way, as we always have, as a juxtaposition between melody and aggression. That’s the DNA of our music. From the lyrical end of things, there was no shortage of inspiration to draw from, especially the concept of time.”
