There are a lot of ways to get down at a rock and roll show: headbang, mosh, grate cheese onto others. There are so many fun and exciting ways to show your enjoy- wait, what the hell? *Checks notes regarding ways to enjoy oneself at a rock concert*: “Grate cheese onto others? Who the hell would do that?”
Well dear reader, you might have an idea where this story is going.
As reported by the folks over at Stereogum, during a recent live Viagra Boys show (for the sake of clarity, Viagra Boys is a rock band), someone in the crowd decided to pull out a cheese grater and start shredding cheese onto other audience members. That sure as hell is a way to show your excitement for a band! At the time of this writing, we cannot confirm what type of cheese the audience member used.
Below, you can find video of the audience member shredding cheese onto others in the live crowd (as well as some photos of this incident). In other news related to unique/strange happenings at live shows, did you hear how someone threw a dead rat on stage during a recent Full Of Hell concert? Also, earlier this year, some footage was uploaded online that featured a metalhead going doing on another metalhead in the middle of a live audience at Maryland Death Fest.
Speaking of tossing food onto others, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee was throwing ribs onto audience members during the band’s recent summer tour. Another interesting thing that some folks like to do at shows is start a pit where people are doing push-ups! This happened at a Frozen Soul concert some months ago.
