As reported by Spin, NOFX bassist and lead vocalist Fat Mike is helping to create the world’s first ever punk rock museum!

This museum will be located in Las Vegas and will involve 12,000 square-feet of punk rock history. The goal of this punk rock museum will be to cover all of the genre’s history and its great plethora of bands (big and small). Speaking to the criteria regarding how a punk band can find their way into the museum’s halls, Fat Mike says, “If you’re a punk band, you’re fucking in. It’s that simple.”

The museum will feature interactive elements, as well as a variety of incredible punk relics; such items involve Debbie Harry’s iconic Vultures shirt and Devo’s energy dome helmets.

The world’s first ever punk rock museum will be opening its doors in Las Vegas come January 13th, 2023. Will you be attending the opening? Who is your favorite punk rock band?

Now if we can get something like this for metal, that would be fucking sick! That said, we sort of do have something like this on the way, for recently, there was news that a black metal exhibition is coming. This exhibition involving Norwegian black metal will be located in Oslo, Norway, and metalheads will be able to learn about the history of this infamous musical genre.

Earlier today, we posted an article involving Slayer and Dead Cross drummer Dave Lombardo naming what he considers to be the five greatest punk albums of all time. Let us know if you agree with Dave’s picks!

In other news related to Fat Mike, earlier this year, we wrote a story involving the NOFX vocalist singing a Judas Priest song as part of a Super Bowl commercial.

NOFX was founded in 1983. The latest NOFX studio album is that of their 2021 record Single Album – it is their 14th studio record.
