As of today, deathcore act Chelsea Grin have released a new music video that features vocal contributions from the late Black Dahlia Murder singer Trevor Strnad. The song associated with this music video is titled “Forever Bloom,” and via a press release, band guitarist Stephen Rutishauser shares:
“‘Forever Bloom’ is a fast-paced song with a whimsical edge to it, paying homage to some of our metal roots. The video accompaniment should let you know that it isn’t all evil and darkness in the world of metal. Of course, we were very grateful to have our friend Trevor feature on this song — RIP to a legend.”
While the music video features the members of Chelsea Grin partaking in a game of Dungeons & Dragons, the video is also a tribute to the late Black Dahlia Murder singer. Along with being a hardcore metalhead, Trevor also loved the thrills of fantasy adventures (especially horror related ones). He loved old school video games and had one hell of an impressive game collection.
This act of paying tribute to Trevor is a very cool and touching move on Chelsea Grin’s part. We love and miss you man, and we hope that you are at peace <3
