Someone recently created a music video for the Tool Song “Lateralus” using AI technology; if you think Tool music videos are already super trippy, well, prepare yourselves for this one.

This music video was created using an AI technology called “Midjourney”; essentially, the AI will pull together images that reflect what is being said (or even reflect a certain mood or sound being presented). We have seen this done in the past with Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” as well as the Soundgarden song “Black Hole Sun.”

This Tool “Lateralus” music video is really something else though; the images that the AI pulled together to create this video are mesmerizing, breathtaking, haunting, and beautiful. You can check out this AI “Lateralus” video below.

Another recent AI music video to check out involves the Cannibal Corpse song “Hammer Smashed Face,” except this video has an interesting twist to it. Along with the video featuring a plethora of gory imagery, it also uses a lot of imagery from The Simpsons.

In other Tool related news, did you hear how band bassist Justin Chancellor hooked up Slipknot’s Alessandro Venturella in a very cool way while the band were creating their album The End, So Far? When it comes to other cool things that Tool members of have, band guitarist Adam Jones sent a guitar of his to a really talented young fan recently. Back in August, we shared a story where band frontman Maynard James Keenan talked about the band’s creative process, to which he said, “it’s a fight to the death every fucking time.”

Tool formed in 1990. At the time of this writing, Tool have released five studio albums – those albums are: Undertow (1993), Ænima (1996), Lateralus (2001), 10,000 Days (2006), and Fear Inoculum (2019).

The artists that make up Tool are as follows: Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones, Danny Carey, Justin Chancellor.
