Welcome back to The Pit’s Favorite Riffs, where we share five new killer metal songs that have recently came out and that we love! Here are the metal songs we highlighted from last week!

As always, our goal with this feature is to shine a light on more underground metal bands. This week, we are bringing you a nice variety of death metal, hardcore, and more.

Stray From The Path – “Needful things”

This band doesn’t fuck around when it comes to sharing their thoughts and values. In the world of modern hardcore, Stray From The Path are one of the most aggressive and bad ass acts around! They just released a brand new record as of today titled Euthanasia and it is a banger! Between all the  insightful lyrics and exhilarating instrumentation, Stray From The Path have hit it out of the park with this album.

Revocation – “Nihilistic Violence”

As of today, Revocation have released a brand new album titled Netherheaven, and don’t be surprised to see it appear on numerous Best Of The Year lists. “Nihilistic Violence” is but a small taste of the utterly savage and remarkable death metal craftsmanship that makes up this record. The record as a whole is an astounding work (so don’t miss out on it)!

Bloodbath – “No God Before Me”

Speaking of amazing death metal – Bloodbath also put out a new record today and it is fucking incredible! Survival of the Sickest is everything we love and know of Bloodbath, offering repulsive sounding death metal and technically fascinating instrumentation. “No God Before Me” is a killer cut, and after you check it out, you should check out the full album!

I Am- “The Primal Wave”

This Texas act is pure menacing death metal aggression. Their song “The Primal Wave” makes for a sonic blast of pummeling instrumentation. Like the other bands on this list, I Am have released a new album as of today! The record is titled Eternal Steel.

Fallujah – “The Bitter Taste Of Clarity”

Over the course of their career, Fallujah have consistently stepped up their game when it comes to each following album. On their new record, Empyrean, the band offer listeners a remarkable work of technical death metal that provides thrilling adrenaline and stunning atmosphere. We could talk about every song on this record, but we have decided to highlight “The Bitter Taste Of Clarity.”

Of course, this is but a small taste of the many awesome metal releases that are out today. What are some new metal songs/albums that you are listening to now or plan to check out over the course of this weekend?
