Yesterday there was supposed to be a special Q&A event involving Ghost, but the Q&A all fell apart. Why you ask? Well, it’s very much because of the band’s fans!

This event was hosted through Spotify Live, and there was such an intense demand for this show, that fans of the band actually ended up crashing the Spotify Live servers! Over on their Twitter, the Spotify Live account tweet’d about this matter, apologizing to fans and sharing that “overwhelming demand” caused “technical difficulties.” In full, Spotify Live wrote:

We want to sincerely apologize to all @thebandGHOST fans who were invited to today’s exclusive live room. Unfortunately due to overwhelming demand, we experienced technical difficulties and had to cancel. We know you made time in your day and missed out on a chance to connect with one of your favorite artists. We hope you can join a Spotify Live event in the future.”

Ghost even tweet’d about the event, apologizing to their fans who were so excited to be part of the show. The band wrote the following:

We wish to inform you Ghost appreciates their fans’ dedication & time. Though proud to have crashed @SpotifyLive‘s servers, Ghost is disappointed with this experience. Alternative opportunities are being explored, because nothing shall keep us apart.”

It’s a bummer to hear that many fans lost out on being a part of this event, but it’s also wild to hear that such demand was able to crash servers! Talk about a truly dedicated fanbase! That being said, if you are looking to see Ghost, the band is still currently on the road as part of their big North American Arena tour. You can find all their remaining dates and locations below associated with this tour.
