As reported by Billboard, the numbers are in pertaining to how much money the recent Mötley Crüe Stadium Tour pulled in. Some time ago, we shared how much money The Stadium Tour was pulling in per show (on average) and that number alone was quite big.
The Stadium Tour featured: Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and Poison. The tour took place across this past summer, and per Billboard, sold 1.3 million tickets. In fact, The Stadium Tour is the biggest tour of Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard’s respective careers!
So, how much money did The Stadium Tour end up pulling in? Well… brace yourselves: The Stadium Tour ultimately made $173.5 million! That is absolutely fucking wild money! Like, a truly absurd amount of money.
Apparently folks were real excited to see all these bands together, for these numbers show that The Stadium Tour has been one of the biggest rock and metal events of 2022. Earlier this month, Poison drummer Rikki Rockett shared that this tour proved that rock and roll is not dead; considering this new information regarding how much was made from this tour, we think Rockett has a fair point.
Does the success of this tour catch you by surprise? Did you think that, together, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and Poison could draw in enough people to make $173.5 million?
When it comes to other details pertaining to the financial success of Mötley Crüe, we recently wrote up a feature breaking down who the richest member of the band is. We did some research to confirm what the most recently noted net worth is of Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, and Mick Mars.
Can you guess who is the richest member of the band? And while it seems that a lot of folks were excited to see the band live this past summer, one fan was not super please (mostly because of all the boobs and genitalia they ended up seeing).
