It has been a little over two years since Power Trip frontman Riley Gale passed away. While the metal community has been mourning Gale’s passing, many have also been wondering what is to come of the band. Without Gale, will Power Trip go on?

There has not been too much news to come from that of the band – but it looks like we have a little extra insight as of lately. Via an interview with Knotfest, band guitarist Blake Ibanez was asked about the current state of the band; replying to this, Ibanez shared that he and fellow band member Chris Ulsh have “been working on stuff for quite a while and we are continuing to work on it.”

Ibanez was asked to share more details regarding this point, to which he said that, “we’re just working on stuff and at some point the stuff we’re working on will be heard.”

Blake then went on to mention the following: “There’s – I guess you can call it a record. There’s a bunch of stuff out there. That’s really all I can say. I don’t know. I can’t really say too much.

“We’ve been working really hard on it. Me and him, we have great chemistry and the same thing we’ve always done when we make records together – the same vibe is there. I’m really proud of the stuff we’ve written together. So I’m looking forward to that. I don’t know when everything’s gonna happen, but I’m looking forward to it.”
