Back in August, an older Ghost song – titled “Mary on a Cross” – found itself featured in a Stranger Things related TikTok video; let alone that the song eventually received a new remix, the track has now cracked the Billboard Hot 100 chart!

As reported by Billboard, the song “debuts at No. 90 with 6 million U.S. streams (up 7%) and 1,000 downloads sold in the Sept. 9-15 tracking week, according to Luminate.” This is also the first song from the band to land on the Billboard Hot 100! “Mary on a Cross” was released back in 2019, but has gained some strong traction as of recently thanks to its appearance in a Stranger Things related TikTok. Thanks to that video, “Mary on a Cross” has been booming in popularity.

While this song is the band’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, they have had several other releases appear on the different Billboard charts. For example, per Billboard, Ghost have ranked nine different times on the Mainstream Rock Airplay hart; five of these entries have hit number one, those songs being: “Square Hammer,” “Rats,” “Dance Macabre,” “Hunter’s Moon,” and “Call Me Little Sunshine.”

Congratulations to Ghost on their success for cracking the Hot 100 chart! Since August, the band have been on the road as part of an epic North American arena tour! They have one last date coming up, that being September 23rd in Green Bay, WI. If you are in the area, don’t miss out on what has been a thrilling experience!

In other band related news, frontman Tobias Forge recently shared how the band’s haters are actually very good for business! He also talked about how streaming and services like Spotify have helped the music industry out. Forge also spoke to a big component that has made the band successful throughout their touring – their merch.
