While talking on The Jasta Show with Jamey Jasta, Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares shared that his number one choice for band vocalist would absolutely be Faith No More singer Mike Patton.

At the time of this writing, Cazares has not spoken to who the new vocalist is for Fear Factory; Dino has recently shared that he is taking his time to reveal who the new singer happens to be. When Jamey asks him for who is number one choice for vocalist would be, Dino mentions Mike Patton, sharing the following (all quotes transcribed by Metal Injection):

“The number one guy would be Mike Patton. If Mike Patton said ‘hey, I’m singing for you guys,’ [I’d say] ‘okay.’ There’s no hesitation at all, whatsoever. He’s one of those guys that can do it all, and you know it’s gonna be exciting, charismatic – you know it’s gonna be interesting every night.”

Can you imagine Mike Patton in Fear Factory? We think that would be an incredible team-up and would love to hear that! As far as who the actual Fear Factory singer is… we will know in time. Dino has shared that he intends to reveal the new band vocalist around the time that the band will be touring in early 2023. This is what Dino had to say regarding the upcoming reveal of the band’s singer.

“It’s just a lot of development, man. Fear Factory is precious to a lot of people and I’m gonna make sure [the announcement is done] right. I wanted to release some tracks a while ago with the singer, but then I had [no touring] behind it. So the hype was going to die down quick. I wanted to do it around the tour so that way you got something to work, and I just didn’t want to release his name too quick because then… no one is gonna care by the time I release a track a year later. I want it all to be done together.”

If you had to take a guess, who do you think the new Fear Factory singer is? Below are all the current 2023 dates for upcoming Fear Factory concerts.
