We are always curious to learn what other genres of music metal musicians like outside of metal, which is why it is very cool to learn of Dave Mustaine’s top three favorite non-metal albums!

As part of a special video feature with Revolver – where fans got to ask Mustaine questions – the Megadeth frontman shared what his three favorite non-metal albums are.  Can you guess what his top three picks are? Here is what Dave Mustaine had to share:

“Well I always liked the first Crowded House record; I thought that was great, because it reminded me of the new Beatles. Another one, Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here, with headphones – listen to it with headphones on. And then the third one, non-metal: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John. The more excellent songwriting; the guitar player he had at the time – I think his name was Big Johnstone – he was an awesome player. And songs like, “All The Young Girls Love Alice,” what a great song that was man. I would love to do that song as a cover.”

What do you think of Dave’s choices? What are three non-metal albums that you like? Below you can find the full Revolver video feature with Dave Mustaine. Megadeth is also currently on the road supporting that of Five Finger Death Punch.
