Yesterday (September 22nd), as part of a baseball game involving the Chicago White Sox going up against the Cleveland Guardians, Ghost frontman Tobias Forge came out and threw the first pitch of the game!
Forge came out rocking a baseball uniform and that of his stage makeup. News of Forge throwing the pitch was also shared via the band’s Instagram account, where they shared the following message:
“We wish to inform you that it’s one, two, three strikes you’re out at the old ball game! Papa Emeritus IV will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the @whitesox vs. @cleguardians game on Thursday, September 22 at Guaranteed Rate Field. The game begins at 7:10 PM.”

In other news related to Ghost and Tobias Forge – the band have just recently cracked that of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart! The song that landed on this chart is that of “Mary on a Cross,” which went viral after it was used in a Stranger Things related TikTok video. Forge was also asked about the band’s haters and how he feels about them – come to find out though, he says that haters are actually very good for the band’s business!
Forge has also shared his views on streaming and services like Spotify, saying that such technology really helped the music industry. The Ghost frontman has also shared a big reason he feels the band have become so successful as a touring act – their merch. Speaking of touring though, Forge did also say that a lot of bands are struggling right now and that there seems to be a lot of touring taking place.
