With his Munsters movie coming out in roughly a month, we thought we would explore the question –. What is the most profitable Rob Zombie horror movie? Along with being a super successful rocker, Zombie has also had an excellent filmmaking career. At the time of this writing, Rob Zombie’s net worth is $50 million; a lot of that worth comes from his movies, so we began wondering what his most profitable film has been.

In the past we have ranked all of the current Rob Zombie movies (from his worst to his best); now, we intend on doing a breakdown of each one of his movies and what they made. We will share the budget involved with each Rob Zombie movie, and then provide what the film made.

Released in 2003, House of 1000 Corpses is Zombie’s filmmaking debut. Considered a cult classic within the horror movie fandom, the film follows a group of friends who accidentally stumble upon an insane red-neck family that is all into torture and mayhem

The House of 1000 Corpses budget was $7 million.

The Devil’s Rejects

Released in 2005, The Devil’s Rejects is a sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, and is considered by many Zombie fans his most beloved work. The film follows three characters associated with the murderous family who debuted in House, with them running away from the law.

The Devil’s Rejects budget was $7 million.

The Devil’s Rejects made: $20.9 million.

Halloween

Released in 2007, Zombie takes on the classic 1978 slasher of the same name, presenting his own spin on the haunting masked murder known as Michael Myers (aka, The Shape).

The Rob Zombie Halloween budget was $15 million.

Halloween II

Released in 2009, a direct sequel to Rob Zombie’s 2007 Halloween. The film follows a scarred Laurie Strode, who is left to confront the horrors of her family.

The Haunted World of El Superbeasto

Released in 2009, Rob Zombie’s animated debut features the titular El Superbeasto and a wild adventure of violence, sex, and debauchery.

The Haunted World of El Superbeasto budget was $10 million.

The film made: *Unfortunately, we have not been able to locate what the movie has made in terms of revenue.

The Lords of Salem

Released in 2014, Zombie dives into psychological and greater supernatural horror with The Lords of Salem. A disc-jockey comes across a mysterious vinyl that ends up slowly changing her overtime, with witches working behind the scenes striving to take control of her.

The Lords of Salem budget was $1.5 million.

Released in 2016, 31 makes for a wild and gruesome murder game, where a group of carnies are kidnapped and forced to survive a night where murderers hunt them down.

The 31 budget was $1.5 million.

3 From Hell

Released in 2019, 3 From Hell is a direct sequel to Zombie’s beloved The Devil’s Rejects. We learn that Baby and Otis have survived their encounter with the law, and when one thing leads to another, the two find themselves on the run again.

The 3 From Hell budget was $3 million.

3 From Hell made: $2.2 million.

Per this information, the most profitable Rob Zombie horror movie is that of Rob Zombie’s Halloween. With a budget of $15 million dollars, the movie ended up making $80.4 million (that’s a $65.4 million difference). Both Rob Zombie Halloween movies actually have done real well; among the Rob Zombie Halloween movies, Halloween II made $39.4 million (a $24.4 million dollar difference, when compared to its $15 million budget).
