Can you imagine Korn covering Metallica? If you are intrigued by such a concept, then we have good news to share with you!
Back in 2003, Korn were part of a special MTV event where numerous acts came together to celebrate the music of Metallica. The night was packed with artists covering the band’s music, with Metallica watching from the audience. One of the bands to perform that night was that of nu metal act Korn.
Among all the songs the band could have performed, they decided to cover “One” – and let’s just say Korn’s version of this song is pretty interesting. Prior to the band’s performance, the late Chester Bennington of Linkin Park speaks to the power of Metallica’s “One” and then goes on to introduce Korn.
Vocally, Jonathan Davis does a fantastic job! Instrumentally speaking, it’s surreal in a way to hear a version of “One” with that iconic nu metal chugging sound Korn is so known for.
