Did you know that it was a random encounter with a horse that got metal legend Ozzy Osbourne to not use acid again? It is not everyday that you hear that a horse has discouraged someone from using acid.
Ozzy shares this story in a new issue of Classic Rock, speaking to how he used to do a bunch of acid and how a conversation with a horse led him to quit the drug. Well, it wasn’t really so much of a conversation, but what seems to be Ozzy just randomly talking to the horse and the horse being a… horse. Per Ozzy Osbourne, this is the story that got him to let go of acid.
“At that time in America, people were very fond of lacing your drinks with acid. I didn’t care. I used to swallow handfuls of tabs at a time. The end of it came when we got back to England. I took 10 tabs of acid then went for a walk in a field. I ended up standing there talking to this horse for about an hour. In the end the horse turned round and told me to fuck off. That was it for me.”
While it may not be as wild of a story as the infamous tale of Ozzy Osbourne biting off a bat’s head, this is pretty fucking funny (if we do say so ourselves). What do you make of this horse story?
In other Ozzy Osbourne related news, the singer recently spoke to a line in one of his new songs that Eric Clapton was not fond of. Speaking of Eric Clapton, Osbourne once thought that the guitarist was stalking him at one point! Ozzy also has spoken to some solemn words that the late Lemmy shared with him prior to his death.
