Welcome back to The Pit’s Favorite Riffs, where we share five new killer metal songs that have recently came out and that we love! Here are the metal songs we highlighted from last week!

As always, our goal with this feature is to shine a light on more underground metal bands. This week, we are bringing you a nice variety of hardcore, black metal, and more.

God’s Hate – “Under The Knife”

God’s Hate is always about delivering crushing music that will get your blood pumping and ready to toss over some furniture. The band just put out a four-track EP that covers selects songs off of Hatebreed‘s Under The Knife EP. We actually got to talk to Brody King of God’s Hate recently, and he told us how much he loves Hatebreed.

Dead Cross – “Heart Reformer”

This supergroup, featuring artists like Slayer’s Dave Lombardo and Faith No More’s Mike Patton, offer nothing but blistering hardcore music. The second studio album from Dead Cross is on the way, and the band have just released another pulse-pounding cut, titled “Heart Reformer.”

Sigh – “Satsui – Geshi No Ato

Sigh are one of the most fascinating acts in metal today. Their avant-garde approach to creating music allow them to share unique and captivating compositions, incorporating black metal, death metal, and other extreme genres. They just put out a new album titled Shiki.

Flesh Crusher – “Ghouls of Endless Hunger”

The music of Flesh Crusher is gross sounding and utterly brutal. Demonic Possession is a killer EP, and while we love all the tracks on the release, we wanted to shout out the gruesome “Ghouls of Endless Hunger.” This is some punk-infused death metal that will bring an awesome kick to your weekend.

Autonoesis – “Raise the Dead”

Thrash metal meets black metal meets death metal when it comes to Autonoesis. The raw sonic ferocity of this band’s music packs one hell of a punch; the distorted thrashing and demonic-like screams come together to craft an experience that is delightfully maddening.

Of course, this is but a small taste of the many awesome metal releases that are out today. What are some new metal songs/albums that you are listening to now or plan to check out over the course of this weekend?
