The new Ronnie James Dio movie, Dio: Dreamers Never Die, is coming to theatres this fall! As part of a special two-night event, metalheads will be able to witness this remarkable documentary on the big screen!

This documentary aired during SXSW back in March, and “delves deep into his incredible rise from ’50s doo-wop crooner to his early classic rock days in Ritchie Blackmore’s RAINBOW, to replacing the iconic lead singer Ozzy Osbourne in BLACK SABBATH, to finally cement his legend with DIO. Ronnie’s biography is completely unique to the tired sex, drugs and rock and roll clichés. The film is about perseverance, dreams and the power to believe in yourself.”

Per a press release associated with this news:

“The film incorporates never-before-seen footage and personal photos, as well as offering intimate scenes with his closest peers, family, and friends, among them Wendy Dio, Tony IommiGeezer Butler, Glenn Hughes, Vinny Appice, Lita Ford, Rob Halford, Sebastian Bach, Eddie Trunk, and Jack Black, as they bring viewers inside the life of one of rock and roll’s true heroes and one of the most beloved figures in rock.”

Dio: Dreamers Never Die will play in theatres on September 28th and October 2nd. Per Kymberli Frueh, SVP for Programming and Content Acquisitions for Trafalgar Releasing:

“Ronnie James Dio has and continues to influence the heavy metal movement. This cinema event will take fans on a big screen journey into the creative and personal life of this notable frontman.”
