During a recent live show, the singer of metalcore act Alpha Wolf called out a venue over their ridiculous merch cut policy. In-between songs, the band’s singer, Lochie Keogh, spoke to the crowd about the venue’s merch cut policy – which is a whopping 20%! And that’s for every band that was playing that night and sold merch.
Speaking to the crowd, Keogh shared that anything they pick up from the merch booths helps out all the bands on the tour. He then goes on to call out the venue that they are playing at. This is what Keogh had to say:
“Before we go, I want to mention every band on this tour is selling merch over there. We’re all trying to get the same shit done. It doesn’t matter whose merch you buy. Any bit of money you spend helps. Especially when these dirty fucking venues are taking twenty-percent of it from the bands playing tonight. It’s like we’re not making any fucking money anyway. You’d think venues doing that could afford some good fucking air conditioning, but apparently not.”
