Sad news to report today from the Cradle of Filth camp. Per a post by another former Cradle of Filth member, Richard Shaw, Stuart Anstis has passed away at the age of 48. While he wasn’t a current member of the band, he played guitar on numerous recorded releases from Cradle of Filth between 1995 and 1999. Per Richard’s Instagram post:
“Rest in peace, Stuart. It was an honour performing your music. Thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time.”
As of time of writing, there has yet to be any official statements from Dani or Cradle of Filth social channels.
No reasons have been shared for his unfortunate passing, but our thoughts are with his friends, family and bandmates. Rest In Power, Stuart.
