Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst will be teaming up with alternative-indie rocker Phoebe Bridgers for a new horror movie! Durst and Bridgers are part of the cast for I Saw The TV Glow, an upcoming A24 horror movie (the same company that brought us Midsommar, The Lighthouse, and Hereditary).
The film also features Justice Smith (Detective Pikachu), Kris Esfandiari (of King Woman), and Bridgette Lundy-Paine (of Snail Mail). Per the film’s IMDb page, the movie “Follows two teenageers who bond over their shared love of a scary television show, but the show gets mysteriously cancelled.”
Jane Schoenbrun is the writer and director for I Saw The TV Glow; Schoenbrun’s most recent film is that of We’re All Going to the World’s Fair. In that movie, a Skullshitter shirt made an appearance; maybe in I Saw The TV Glow we will see some kind of Limp Bizkit cameo. The last time Fred Durst really got involved in film was The Fanatic, a film he directed (and wrote the story for).
What do you make of Fred Durst appearing in a horror movie? We have to say that we are pretty intrigued by the idea! We think it will be super cool to see him acting alongside Phoebe Bridgers, Kris Esfandiari, Justice Smith, and Bridgette Lundy-Paine.
In other horror movie related news, just the other day, we got confirmation of when the new Hellraiser movie will be coming out! We also got a first-look at Jamie Clayton as the new Pinhead! We also recently received confirmation regarding the distribution of the upcoming new Halloween movie, Halloween Ends! Actress Jamie Lee Curtis (who has played the character of Laurie Strode throughout the Halloween movies) provided this update herself via a video promo.
