Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has always been vocal about his political stance, and he recently shared some strong words directed at the far-right. It seems like several Republican and far-right candidates have taken to using the hit Twisted Sister song “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” which Snider finds to be comical and ironic.

Last month, far-right candidate Kari Lake used the Twisted Sister track as walk-out music; given that many folks know Snider’s beliefs, he was asked about Lake’s use of the song. While he stands strongly against Lake’s beliefs – he himself being pro-choice – he says that he is against censorship, and cannot “legally” or “morally” stop her from using the song.

So while Dee Snider won’t go about censoring folks who choose to use “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” he sure as hell makes sure to let them know where he stands. As of recently on his Twitter, the Twisted Sister singer put out a general tweet calling out conservatives, QAnon followers, and “MAGAT” fascists (we assume that “MAGAT” could be a short phrase for both MAGA and maggot).  Per this tweet, Snider wrote the following:

“ATTENTION QANON, MAGAT FASCISTS: Every time you sing “We’re Not Gonna Take It” remember it was written by a cross-dressing, libtard, tree hugging half-Jew who HATES everything you stand for. It was you and people like you that inspired every angry word of that song! SO FUCK OFF!”

Since this tweet went out, Snider has retweet’d and replied to several Twitter followers regarding his various beliefs and feelings. You can find several of those responses below.
