Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton Says A Roadie Saved Him From A Potential Big Mishap During A Live Show

During a recent live show, while playing as support for Judas Priest, Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton found himself under pressure when he started spacing out on the intro to one of the band’s songs. Via his Twitter account, Morton shares that he spaced out on the intro to “Redneck” (a track off of the Lamb Of God album Sacrament).

Morton had to remember fast, so while band singer Randy Blythe was introducing the song to the audience, Morton took the opportunity to ask one of the band’s roadies for help. Per Mark Morton, this is what he had to say about the incident:

“Last night while opening for Judas Priest, I suddenly couldnt remember if the intro to Redneck is the whole riff or just the 1st half cycled. Walked up Art & asked him. He just looked at me terrified. So while Randy introduced the song, I had my tech play it for me on his phone.”

Thank goodness that roadie was around to help Mark out (otherwise the song may have had a weird start)! In September, the band will be hitting the road for a massive North America tour! Killswitch Engage will accompany them throughout the entire run, with different supporting acts performing alongside both bands (depending on the date). You can find all the upcoming tour dates, and supporting acts associated with those tour dates, below.
