Bruce Dickinson was not a happy trooper at last night’s Iron Maiden show in Athens, Greece. While trying to launch in to ‘The Number of the Beast’, Bruce got pretty damn pissed at an audience member. Apparently, they had lit a flare in the crowd that threw Bruce for a loop and made him concerned about his ability to sing properly.
Here’s what he said (and you can watch it for yourself below):
“The cunt with the fucking flare. I’m trying to sing up here. You fucking cocksucker. You Greek cunt. I’ve gotta fucking sing. All right. Fuck you.” Apparently Bruce then left the stage and came back a little while later, but had a hard time finding his place in the song.
Look, everyone has an off day. Or in Bruce’s case, a few. It’s got to be a lot of pressure up there to be “always on” and bring it for fans perfectly every night. And Bruce clearly takes his job very seriously. And Maiden has done plenty of good deeds as of late, most notably helping cover the medical expenses of their ex-singer.
