At a past show, which took place on July 22nd, Shinedown singer Brent Smith jumped into the audience to break-up a fight. At some point during the band’s set, Smith noticed an altercation going on in the crowd.
Through his microphone he said, “Everybody wait a minute,” then went on to point at one guy and said, “Hey man, calm down.”
After some time had passed, Brent Smith then got off the stage and entered the audience, making his way to where the altercation was taking place. While he was making his way towards this fight, security was also making their way to the same spot. Once he was at that spot, Smith then made additional efforts to break-up the fight.
Concerts are meant to be a space for fun and having a good time, but sometimes shit happens. And when that shit happens, it is cool to see artists making an effort to call out bullshit and make sure everyone is okay. Below we have included a couple of videos involving this incident.
