A new rumor is floating around involving guitarist Nita Strauss possibly joining another touring band; while one may assume that she would be taking part in some kind of rock or metal act, this rumor actually involves pop star Demi Lovato. The other day, Nita Strauss shared that she was exiting Alice Cooper’s band and had canceled some solo tour dates. Per a statement she provided via Instagram:
“After this absolutely incredible run in Europe, it is bittersweet for me to let you guys know that I will not be joining the Alice Cooper band for the upcoming fall tour. I will also regretfully have to cancel the festival dates my solo band had planned for the rest of the year
“I AM NOT PREGNANT!!! There is no drama whatsoever and my touring year is still VERY full- in fact, I’m on a flight straight into the next adventure as I post this, and I’ll be on stage again much sooner than you think! But that’s news for another day. The past eight years together has been the experience of a lifetime, and I could not be more grateful to Alice and Sheryl Cooper, Shep Gordon, the amazing band, crew and fans for welcoming me to all of your nightmare. I don’t know what the future will hold after this, but I am forever thankful”
At the time of that initial statement, there was no clear idea as to what Nita’s future plans would involve; but per this new rumor, as shared by Metal Sludge, it looks like Nita could be joining Demi Lovato’s touring band. Per the website, they wrote:
“After a shocking announcement from Nita Strauss earlier today that she is leaving the Alice Cooper Band, the industry is asking where is she going and who is replacing her? Well, Metal Sludge has some answers, or what we feel are likely going to be the answers. The word is Nita is headed to perform with pop-star Demi Lovato.”
