A new book about Shudder’s Creepshow is coming out, and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett wrote its afterword. This book, titled Creepshow: From Script To Scream, primarily focuses on Shudder’s Creepshow – that show is based off the ’80s film directed by the late George A. Romero and written by horror author Stephen King.

Kirk Hammett tweet’d about this new book, writing, “Stoked to share the announcement for Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream book! Such a great group of contributors! (Including me)”

Per the AMC Networks website:

“Titan Books is delighted to be partnering with the newly-launched AMC Networks Publishing on Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream, an official behind-the-scenes book featuring the spine-tingling stories and tantalizing talent behind Creepshow, the hit anthology series from Showrunner Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) and produced by Cartel Entertainment, the studio for the TV series.

“Featuring a foreword by legendary storyteller Stephen King and an afterword by horror aficionado Kirk Hammett, Metallica’s lead guitarist, Creepshow: From Script to Scream (October 25, 2022) dives deep into the riveting origins, gripping development, provocative production, and sinister special effects of the television show.”

The book was written by Dennis L. Prince and is available for pre-order now via this link here. Will you be getting yourself a copy? Speaking of Shudder, did you know that the new GWAR documentary is currently on the streaming platform?
