When you think of bands performing for a PBS fundraiser, you may not immediately think of Deicide. The Tampa, Florida band has been one of the most brutal acts in death metal since their formation in 1987. But prior to their career as Deicide, the band was known as Amon (as well as Carnage). In those early days as Amon, there came a point where the band were brought on to PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) to take part in a fundraiser.

Video footage of the band performing this PBS fundraiser comes from the YouTuber Steve19891 – the Instagram account Festering Vomitous Mass has also shared this footage as well. Whatever this fundraiser is for, it is wild to see and hear a death metal act as extreme as Deicide be part of PBS. You can find footage of Deicide’s performance below!

Starting in August, the band will be hitting the road for a new tour! This is the band’s Legion Anniversary Tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their sophomore record, Legion.
