During a recent appearance of theirs on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, popstar Demi Lovato talked about a past Dimmu Borgir concert they attended and really enjoyed. It may catch some folks by surprise, but Lovato is quite the metalhead. In the past, Lovato has been vocal about their enjoyment of such bands like Job For A Cowboy, Abigail Williams, and Dimmu Borgir.
Demi Lovato was just on Jimmy Kimmel Live! performing their song “Substance.” Accompanying Lovato was guitarist Nita Strauss, who just recently exited Alice Cooper‘s band to join Lovato’s touring band. At one point during the show, Lovato is interviewed and is asked about their experience with heavy music. This is when they speak to that great experience they had at the Dimmu Borgir concert they attended. Per Lovato:
“There was this band called Dimmu Borgir. And I went to their show. They were like a Norwegian black metal band or something. And I was at the show, and I just happened to be in the center, where the mosh pit happens. But everyone — they were, like, grown men, and I was this 14-year-old girl. So I had to climb my way out and crowd-surf to the front of the stage. And I lost my shoe. It was a great time.”
