When it comes to singers using a teleprompter to help them remember lyrics during live shows, Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has something to say. A recent conversation pertaining to live teleprompters came up earlier this week when fan captured footage appeared online that showed off a teleprompter on stage where Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil was performing. For some bands and artists who have a great deal of material released, a teleprompter is a helpful tool to assist them with remembering the lyrics to their songs.
That said, after several websites published news about this story, multiple musicians spoke up on social media and defended the use of such equipment. One celebrity who has also recently spoke up is that of Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider. Per his Twitter, Snider shared the following thoughts on the matter:
“True that! MOST bands are using teleprompters. Not me, but I didn’t kill a lot of my brain cells with drink and drugs (not a criticism. More of an explanation). STOP being so damn critical and just enjoy seeing the people you love on stage! Now lip synching is another story!”
