While some folks may not be super excited for the upcoming Pantera reunion tour, Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) singer M. Shadows sees it as a positive. Taking to his Twitter account, the A7X frontman shared how such a reunion “reminds us that life is fragile and short.” By this, it is likely that Shadows is referring to the unfortunate passing of late Pantera band members Dimebag Darrell (who passed away on December 8th, 2004) and his brother Vinnie Paul (who passed away on June 22nd, 2018).
Per Shadow’s tweet, he shared the following:
“Irregardless of our personal feelings, it seems that this @Pantera reunion reminds us that life is fragile and short. We live in an era where Phil and Rex can still go out there and perform the songs and soon that time will pass too. Enjoy it while you can. Looking forward.”

Along with this sentiment, the Avenged Sevenfold frontman also shared that he thinks Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde would be a good fit for this Pantera reunion tour. A Twitter user replied to Shadows, saying, “Rumours of Zakk Wylde on guitar although I don’t know how true it is.” Shadows replied to the user, saying:
“I hope so… perfect fit and a friend to Dime. What a great tribute.”

Zakk Wylde isn’t the only musician rumored to be part of this Pantera reunion tour. While nothing official has been released yet regarding who will perform alongside Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown, we recently put out a feature sharing who we think would be perfect to fill in for the roles of guitarist and drummer alongside the guys.
