If you have been following the latest season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, then you are probably aware that one of the songs featured in season four is Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.” For many folks, this is their first exposure to the ’80s song, and the track has recently exploded in popularity.
We are fans of Kate Bush and this iconic track, so of course, it was natural for us to search YouTube for a heavy cover of this song. We eventually found a performance that caught our attention, and upon listening to said performance, we were blown away.
Via the YouTube channel Two Minutes To Late Night (which we have covered in the past), several talented artists from the world of metal and heavy music came together a couple years ago to perform a cover of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.”
The performance features the following artists:
- Emma Ruth Rundle
- Bill Kelliher of Mastodon
- Aaron Rieseberg of YOB
- Santos Montano of Old Man Gloom
- And of course, Jordan Olds (aka Gwarsenio Hall)
As always, Two Minutes To Late Night offers audiences a stacked lineup of amazing talent.
Together, the group provide an excellent performance that brings a new level of sonic heaviness to this popular ’80s hit. You can view the group’s performance of “Running Up That Hill” below:
What do you think of the group’s cover? We think it is really incredible. Are you a fan of the original Kate Bush song?
