During a recent solo performance of his, Ace Frehley threw a jab at Kiss, poking fun at their recent lip syncing incident.

If you are not aware of that incident, here is a brief recap:

During a recent Kiss show, an audience member caught footage of band singer Paul Stanley‘s vocals being played over the sound system, but the singer was not singing. Per the description associated with that video, the YouTuber wrote the following:

“Something screws up with the track Kiss are miming to on Detroit Rock City in Antwerp, Belgium on the End of the Dignity Tour. Result is the pyro fires too early and Paul is left with his pants down when his vocal plays without him pretending to sing it. ”

With this incident in mind, ex-Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley decided he would throw out a quick jab at the band. During a recent solo show of his, while preparing to play the Kiss song “Detroit Rock City,” Ace Frehley spoke to the crowd and said the following:

“This song’s a great song written by Mr. Paul Stanley.”

He continues, “By the way, we don’t use tapes. Anyway, this one’s about a city in the Midwest on Lake Michigan. It’s called ‘Detroit Rock City.’”
