So if you happened to have been on Twitter yesterday, you might have seen some promotional news floating around that Napalm Death were to take part in The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee  – a concert that celebrates the seven decades of Queen Elizabeth’s reign over the United Kingdom.

The lineup for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee includes such musical acts as: Limp Bizkit, Wu Tang Clan, Killing Joke, and Morissey.

However, this promotion involving Napalm Death is bullshit. Apparently, someone thought it would be real funny to include the band as part of the lineup associated with The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Digby Pearson, founder of Earache Records, found it real interesting when he came across Napalm Death trending on Twitter. The Earache Records account also shared an image of the fake promotion involving Napalm Death.

Per the Twitter post made by Digby Pearson, he wrote:

“Napalm Death trending on Twitter right now..”

The Earache Records account wrote:

“OK, who made this We don’t even want to find the real line up because it will be far too disappointing… Join us in this version of the Platinum Jubilee Party At The Palace celebrations with your very own Napalm Death merch via earache.com/napalmdeath”

Lol, could you imagine the grindcore outfit taking part in such a show? If the band were actually part of the line up, would you attend the show? The band just wrapped up a tour with that of Behemoth, Arch Enemy, and Unto Others.

The band formed in 1981, and at the time of this writing, they have released 16 studio albums. Their most recent studio album is that of 2020’s Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism. The band’s 1987 studio album debut, Scum, was released on Earache Records; the band would release their following seven studio albums with Earache Records.
