Metallica singer James Hetfield recently reached out to the woman who gave birth during a live Metallica concert. How friggin’ awesome is that?!
In case you aren’t aware of the initial story:
Joice M. Figueiró was attending a Metallica concert this past Saturday in Curitiba, Brazil, when she started having contractions and her water broke. Even though medics arrived to the scene in time while she was giving birth, Joice was already so far along in the process that everything took place right at the stadium where Metallica where playing. Just as the band were about to play another one of their iconic classics, Joice gave birth to a little baby boy.
A few days after all that went down, Joice shared a video via her Instagram (via an Instagram story), of Metallica singer James Hetfield calling her and her husband.
During the call, the Metallica singer says to the couple, “This is James from Metallica. Yeah, hey, congratulations you guys.”
Joice is overwhelmed with joy, replying to the Metallica singer with, “Oh my God. Hi. I cry.”
We are so happy for Joice! That is very cool of James Hetfield to reach out to her and her husband and congratulate them on the birth of their new baby boy.
What a surreal ride of events; to go from being at a live Metallica concert, to giving birth at said Metallica concert, to then getting a call from Metallica singer and guitarist James Hetfield. Holy shit that is awesome!
