Judas Priest will officially be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame! Hell yeah!
News of this comes from Billboard. Even though the band did not make the top five of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame fan vote, their incredible talent and contributions to music have still been acknowledged overall. The band is to receive the “award for musical excellence.” The band is the second act to receive the “award for musical excellence.”
Billboard spoke to Judas Priest singer Rob Halford about receiving this recognition and award, to which Halford said the following:
“Wow, this is so exciting — at last. At last, you know? And, glory hallelujah, there’s another metal band in the hall of fame! That’s the blessing we’ve all been waiting for.”
Those other acts that are part of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Class of 2022 are Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, and Carly Simon.
After talking about the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame for sometime now, it is so cool to see the band finally recognized for their incredible talent. We send our congratulations to the band for their upcoming induction and receiving this awesome award.
The induction ceremony will be held on November 5th, 2022.
The band formed in 1969. So far throughout their career as a band, they have released 18 studio albums. The band currently have a new album in the works as well.
