During a recent live show, My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way paid tribute to the late Power Trip singer Riley Gale. This live show took place this past Saturday at the Milton Keynes Stadium.
At one point during the show, Gerard Way mentions a hat he is wearing and how someone told him it reminded them of the late Riley Gale.
The My Chemical Romance singer then goes on to talk about the band, mentioning how he wanted to invite them to tour with My Chemical Romance.
This is what Gerard Way had to say:
“I was so inspired by that fucking dude. They were gonna be one of the bands that were gonna open for us, or I was gonna ask at least. They could have said, ‘Fuck no,’ which I would have been totally respectful of, but I have a feeling they might have said yes.”
He then concluded with:
“They were a great fucking band. Rest in peace Riley motherfucker!”
