Looks like Winnie the Pooh will be snacking on honey and blood in his upcoming horror movie.
That is right folks – Winnie the Pooh is getting his own horror movie.
The film is titled Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and is directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield. The catch associated with this horror movie is that it will not be associated with Disney; the long short of it all is that A.A. Milne’s original Winnie the Pooh entered the public domain earlier this year, hence why we getting this movie.
Via Variety, Rhys Frake-Waterfield shared the film involves Pooh and Piglet as “the main villains…going on a rampage” after they have been abandoned by a college-bound Christopher Robin.
“Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he’s not [given] them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult,” Frake-Waterfield says.
He goes on to add:
“Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So they’ve gone back to their animal roots. They’re no longer tame: they’re like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey.”
