Normally you hear about someone giving birth at a hospital or in the comfort of their own home – but giving birth at a Metallica concert, that is new.
As reported by Metal Hammer, Joice M. Figueiró was attending a Metallica concert this past Saturday in Curitiba, Brazil, when she started having contractions and then her water broke. Joice was seated in the accessible/disabled section of the venue; it is worth noting that she was 39 weeks pregnant at the time of attending this concert.
Even though medics arrived to the scene in time while she was giving birth, Joice was already so far along in the process that everything took place right at the stadium where Metallica where playing. Just as the band were about to play another one of their iconic classics, Joice gave birth to a little baby boy.
Joice wrote about the experience via her Instagram account. In a caption associated with the image of her newborn baby, she wrote the following (translated via Google Translate):
“When would I imagine that I would be at the @metallica show at 39 weeks pregnant
and this boy decides to be born right there, 3 songs before the show ends,
at Couto Pereira to the sound of Enter Sandman?
“In every show I go to something has to happen, but this time I think
I’ve outdone myself haha.
“Luan Figueiró came into the world on 05/07/2022 at 23:15
shaking all metal structures haha.”
Per Joice’s caption, her child was born right at the time that the band were playing their song “Enter Sandman.” What a hell of a way to enter into the world!
Congratulations on your baby Joice! What a night to remember! This will be a fantastic story for you and your son to share throughout life.
