Stranger Things Season 4 will be arriving on Netflix May 27th and we finally have a trailer! And this time around, the Netflix horror TV show is packing a whole lot of extra horror.

Regarding the plot synopsis for Season 4 of Stranger Things:

“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier.

“In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

What is most striking about this trailer – and what is to come in season 4 of Stranger Things – is how much the show doubles down on its horror imagery and atmosphere. Stranger Things has always offered great horror since the TV show first aired back in 2016. But the Netflix TV show looks to be taking a much more sinister and eerie dive into supernatural horror this time around.

Robert Englund will also be making an appearance in this new chapter of Stranger Things; you may know Englund from his most famous movie role – being that of Freddy Krueger from the horror franchise A Nightmare On Elm St. Englund will be playing Victor Creel, “a disturbed man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s.”

What also really caught our eye is the one of the more prominent monsters the trailer showed off:

This guy looks menacing, and he sure as hell comes off even more chilling in the trailer for season 4 of Stranger Things. But frankly, from the monsters, supernatural intrigue, and eerie visuals of the Upside Down world – we’re hyped as hell for some new TV horror to binge.
