Lead singer of Twisted Sister, Dee Snider, recently performed an acoustic version of the band’s hit song “We’re Not Gonna Take It” as part of a charity to help out Ukraine.
By now you’re probably familiar with Snider’s passionate drive to help out the Ukrainian people; it was back this past February, when the war in Ukraine began, that the lead singer of Twisted Sister provided his approval of the Ukrainian people using “We’re Not Gonna Take It” as their “battlecry.” Since then, the lead singer of Twisted Sister has gone on to release a special music video displaying his support of Ukraine, as well as call upon the “citizens of the free world” to take part in an effort ran by World United Live.
Recently, at a show that took place on April 4th, the lead singer of Twisted Sister performed an acoustic version of “We’re Not Gonna Take It.” The performance took place at the Concert For Ukraine, held at Agoura Hills, California; the goal of the event was to raise money for the refugees who have left their country due to the ongoing Russian invasion. These donations will help provide Ukrainian children and families with food, water, shelter and other immediate needs.
The night was organized by Ken Greene, and all proceeds raised from the concert were sent to Children’s Emergency Fund, which is part of the non-profit organization Save The Children.
