For you metalheads out there that love Marvel movies – how excited are you for the new Thor movie, Thor: Love and Thunder? Well as of today, we finally have a trailer for the new Thor movie!
The trailer for the new Thor movie features the Asgardian God of Thunder taking on a journey of self reflection after the events of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Thor has teamed up with the Guardians of the Galaxy, with the likes of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Nebula (Karren Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and Drax (Dave Bautista) making an appearance in the trailer. Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) also appears, and we finally get a look at Natalie Portman as the God of Thunder herself!
The synopsis for the film (as provided via the description associated with the IGN upload of the teaser) reads as:
“Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”
On top of all that, the trailer for the new Thor movie also features the Guns N’ Roses song “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” which fits in perfectly with the thrills, emotion, and comedy featured throughout the trailer.
