Among the many shows that came to be through Adult Swim, one of the most popular is that of Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Making its debut in the early 2000s, Aqua Teen Hunger Force featured anthropomorphic fast food characters: Master Shake, Frylock, and Meatwad. The show focused on the random and surreal day to day happenings that took place in these character’s lives, while also involving that of their human neighbor Carl and other characters.

The show was a hit during its time and, since its last episodes in 2015, has lived on as a classic work of adult animation. But now it looks like the Adult Swim show is looking to make a return!

A new installment in the series is on the way, said series being titled, Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Aquadonk Side Pieces. The first episode in this series is called, “The Return of Handbanana,” which involves the character Handbanana (who appeared in an episode back in 2015).

Below you will find the trailer for the Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Aquadonk Side Pieces episode “The Return of Handbanana”:

Aqua Teen Hunger Force is not the only Adult Swim show making a return however, for our favorite animated death metal band is also planning a big comeback. There’s not only a new Metalocalypse movie in the works, but Dethklok also looks to be planning a new tour!

Ex-Testament drummer Gene Hoglan shared in an interview that he has been working on Dethklok related material.

In an interview with Sobre La Dosis, Hoglan not only spoke to working on new music as part of the band’s upcoming movie, but that there would also be a tour involved with the movie. Per Hoglan:

“One of the larger projects that’s coming up really directly as well is Dethklok is working on a movie. So that’s gonna entail some definite intent from me. You know, I’m deeply involved in that, so we’re working on the next album, the soundtrack – well the movie doesn’t quite have a soundtrack to it – but we’re gonna have the movie, we’re gonna have the album for Dethklok, and I would imagine some touring as well.”

Looks like there is going to be lots of awesome adult animation for metalheads to look forward to!
