News came out the other day that the social media platform Twitter is moving forward with Elon Musk’s bid to buy said platform; while some are in favor of the purchase, Kiss singer Paul Stanley has a more critical take on the purchase.

Yesterday, Kiss singer Paul Stanley took to his Twitter account sharing a Reuters news story about Musk buying the social media platform Twitter. To provide a brief recap of this purchase: Musk has placed a $44 billion bid to purchase Twitter.

Per the Kiss singer:

“I May Be Missing Something (please tell me). Rather than funding a personal acquisition, Wouldn’t our world be better advanced by using far less than 44 BILLION DOLLARS to eradicate world hunger?, cure cancer? The list is long & the possibilities endless.”

A couple other rock and metal artists replied to the Kiss singer’s Twitter post, with Shinedown guitarist Zach Myers writing:

“Paul … you’re probably one of my favorite people I’ve ever toured with But A. Telling citizens what to do with their money isn’t our job B. Even with 44 trillion. You’re not ending world hunger.”

Ex-Judas Priest singer Tim “Ripper” Owens replied with:

Well he is selling Teslas, but I’m sure they won’t be buying those now either . It’s cool you live in a 1 bedroom 800 square foot house and most of your money goes to fixing world hunger. That’s awesome . Instead of fans buying any of your stuff give it to charity instead.”

Where do you stand when it comes to this matter? Do you side with the Kiss singer? Do you think Musk could be putting his money towards helping out global matters like ending world hunger or putting his money towards cancer research?
