Judas Priest singer Rob Halford loves cats; he loves them so much that not only was he invited to name a new litter of kittens that are part of Kitten Rescue, he’s also donating his personal collection of autographed cat t-shirts to Kitten Rescue as part of an auction.

Kitten Rescue is a Los Angeles-based non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. Last month, Kitten Rescue introduced a new litter of kittens via their “kitten cam room“. The Judas Priest singer was invited to name the litter, giving each one a name related to the world of metal and rock.

As reported by Blabbermouth, the names the Judas Priest singer picked out for the kittens are: Taylor, Turbo, Angel, Starbreaker, Rocker, and Mama Rose.  Taylor is named after the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins; Turbo is named after the Judas Priest song “Turbo Lover”; Angel is named after the Judas Priest song “Angel of Retribution”; Starbreaker is named after the song of the same name from the 1977 Priest album Sin After Sin; Rocker is named after the Priest song “I’m A Rocker”; and Mama Rose is named after the Priest song “Last Rose Of Summer”.

Along with naming the kittens, Halford is also donating his personal collection cat t-shirts to Kitten Rescue (with said shirts being autographed). The shirts will be auctioned off by Kitten Rescue, with proceeds going to the organization and further assisting them with all the good they do for cats and kittens. The shirts will be posted on the Kitten Rescue auction site with details to come later.

You can find a video below that includes Judas Priest singer Rob Halford, Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, guitarist Nita Strauss, bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson, as well as Elvira Mistress of the Dark and Rob Zombie Munsters movie star Cassandra Peterson, all speaking to the work that Kitten Rescue does.
