In an effort to help the Ukrainian people during their time of need, Avenged Sevenfold started out by selling t-shirts as part of a benefit campaign; now though, the band have shifted gears some and have sent over bulletproof vests to the Ukrainian people.

The vests come with a tag that reads, “Supporting Ukrainian People Avenged Sevenfold.”

The ability to send over the bulletproof vests to the Ukrainian people seems to have been possible thanks to fans who took part in the Avenged Sevenfold t-shirt campaign previously. Avenged Sevenfold singer, M. Shadows, provided detail on this matter via a tweet he wrote.

Per the Twitter post from the Avenged Sevenfold singer:

“This is real life. Thank you to the @TheOfficialA7X @DeathbatsClub community for supporting this cause. Our T – Shirt donation bought many bullet proof vests for the Ukrainian people to save lives. Sent directly to the people using @ethereum Thank you @crypto_vandals”

When a Twitter user asked why the band decided to send over bulletproof vests, Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance replied with the following:

The funds have so far helped w multiple forms of needed tactical gear as well as a significant donation to monstrov.org who provides medical care, assistance to hospitals and humanitarian aid in Ukraine in real time. The more we collect the more we can help together!”

We’ve heard of shirt charities from the likes of Jinjer, Metallica, and even a plethora of goregrind and grindcore bands – but sending over bulletproof vests? That’s new!
