By now you’ve probably seen a video or two of Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian and his 11-year-old son Revel Ian performing together. The father-son duo have performed a plethora of awesome covers together, with the Anthrax guitarist uploading said covers to his personal Instagram account. Together, Revel and his dad have covered songs from Sepultura, System of a Down, and have more recently paid tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. But now Revel is stepping things up in his musical career; while he still may be performing covers with his dad, the son of the Anthrax guitarist has now joined a full band!
Said band is a rock act called Honeybee and they have released a new song called “Get Out Of My Head Now.” Along with the 11-year-old Revel Ian on drums, Honeybee consists of 16-year-old guitarist-vocalist Liam Williams and 15-year-old bassist/vocalist Theo O’Gara.

“The venerable HONEYBEE is a three piece real live Rock and Roll band armed with cosmic talent beyond their years. Formed in 2019 by Revel Ian (drums), Liam Williams (guitar/vocals), and Theo O’Gara (bass/vocals) deep in the Santa Monica Mountains of Southern California, HONEYBEE has already begun devastating the hearts and minds of audiences with their explosive cocktail of Hard Rock and Metal, a dash of Prog, and an alt-Folk edge. Struck by the otherworldly Bonham-like beats that he heard rising from his little sister’s basement band rehearsal, Liam Williams, who had been looking to form a band of his own, discovered the natural-born talents of young drummer Revel Young Ian, and promptly asked if he could join him on lead guitar in an impromptu jam. Immediately the two boys gelled in sound and vibe.
