By now you’re probably familiar with the slap heard around the world – well, one drummer has taken that moment and turned into a heavy song.
At the Oscars this past Sunday, actor Will Smith took to the stage and went off on comedian Chris Rock with one hell of a slap. Leading up to Smith’s strike on Rock, Rock took to the stage and did what he does best and threw out some jokes. Among those jokes was one about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Jada has been struggling with alopecia, which causes hair loss, which is what Rock’s joke alluded too. Well, after making that joke, Will Smith went to the stage and slapped Chris Rock (and it looked like a real aggressive slap). Rock stood in disbelief and said, “Will Smith just slapped the shit out of me.”
Smith returned to his seat and yelled at Rock, “Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth!”
It was a certainly heavy moment – a heavy moment that could be made even heavier with some sick drumming. Slaughter To Prevail frontman Aleksandr “Alex Terrible” Shikolai recently shared an Instagram video from Instagram user/drummer elestepariosiberiano (El Estepario Siberiano), that features the drummer playing along to Smith’s lashing out at Chris Rock.
