While some kids love listening to heavy metal, we’ve also seen other kids kick a whole lot of butt when it comes to performing metal covers – just like this seven year old drummer rocking out to Slipknot.
As reported by Heavy Consequence, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres recently brought on seven year old Caleb Hayes, a UK drummer who is quite the performer. During Ellen’s show today, she features a clip of Hayes performing a cover of Slipknot’s “Sulfur,” which is a song off their 2008 record All Hope Is Gone.
Hayes tells Ellen how he has surpassed his dad’s drumming skills and names Slipknot as his favorite band. During their interview, which you can find below, Ellen brings up how Hayes has been saving for a special snare drum; specifically, Hayes has been looking to get a hold of a signature model from Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg. Well, let’s say Ellen has a great surprise for Caleb and the moment is incredibly wholesome.
